Project Summary
The Exploratorium’s Self, Made exhibition explores human identity. The title inspired me to shift the original branding toward an overlooked psychoanalytic direction. By blending each person's facial expressions, the design implies the ongoing inner shifts of our identities.
Project Process
I started the design by editing images and choosing typefaces to create unique compositions. That helped make the innovative lock-up typography, but the photos collapsed with text, and overlayed faces disturbed some people. Inspired by Pablo Picasso's Cubism, I rearranged the images and applied different colors to symbolize our identities' inner shifts.
